The ore_algebra package provides an implementation of Ore algebras for Sage. The main features for the most common instances include basic arithmetic and actions; gcrd and lclm; D-finite closure properties; natural transformations between related algebras; guessing; desingularization; solvers for polynomials, rational functions and (generalized) power series.

The Package

Development happens at Github. The latest release is available from https://github.com/mkauers/ore_algebra/releases. You can load the package from a Sage session as follows:
  sage: from ore_algebra import *
